Writing for the Big Screen

I may not have made it as a screenwriter (yet), but writing about upcoming films gives me a huge sense of excitement. It’s so important to put this feeing across to your readers, and Onscreen know as well as anybody how to achieve that.

The cinema magazine were looking for someone to help write features for their printed issues and website. As an established brand, and experts at writing engaging, creative copy, OnScreen knows what it takes to pull the reader into not just the feature, but the cinema as well. I have written features for a broad range of film genres to convince readers for each feature that it is one to watch.

Top features

Barbie Movie
Injecting fun into this piece was no challenge, but I wanted to bring depth and excitement to the feature. Readers are led straight into the Mushroom Kingdom to gain a sense of adventure from the off. Familiar phrasing is used to pull on the nostalgic heartstrings of the parents who will be taking their children to the cinema as an excuse to see it for themselves.
